This is a heavy load for anyone to deal with. I think people probably won't treat you any differently with your hearing aids. People know you for you, and like you for you. That's not going to change. And people that don't know you, probably won't even notice. It's not like we go around starting into people's ears, right? Hopefully something great will come out of this -- you will be hearing better. You know, I'm also a firm believer in teaching others how we want to be treated. As we get older, we start to have more life experiences to compare, and if someone is treating you differently (because of your hearing aids, or whatever reason), you can speak up and tell them how you want to be treated.
